Politics 25

I don’t normally talk about politics¹, but the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. So I will say this: I thought what happened to Charlie Kirk was dreadful. There he was, a young man with a young family, intent on bringing debate to the campus, and he got shot and killed for it. How awful. Look how happy his wife looked:

Now she’s distraught. Not only that, but people who didn’t like his right wing politics were laughing and gloating about his death. Meanwhile others were conspicuously silent. See Charlie Kirk died for free speech and universities still have nothing to say. It’s a Fox article by Evita Duffy-Alfonso, who pointed out that universities have remained largely silent on the matter, and that “this silence is a far cry from the deafening chorus that followed George Floyd’s death”. Quite.

The situation at Columbia

See for example Peter Woit’s blog. He’s written no less than 33 posts about the situation at Columbia. He has railed at Scott Aaronson’s post about Gaza. But he’s said nothing about Charlie Kirk being murdered in cold blood. He didn’t complain about the 1200 people who were murdered in Israel either. Or about the Palestinians dancing in the streets as naked female bodies were paraded on the back of pickup trucks. Or about the Israeli embassy staffers who were shot dead in Washington. Or about the rampant antisemitism at Columbia, Harvard, MIT Penn, and so on. He just complained, again and again and again, about the people trying to put a stop to it. He’s been talking about his mental health, which doesn’t sound good to me. Ditto for Mark Ruffalo likening the US government to the Taliban. It’s ridiculous. The Taliban have banned books written by women. They treat women as chattel. And it may have escaped Ruffalo’s notice on the day of Charlie Kirk’s memorial service, but the Taliban murder their political opponents. That’s the Taliban who walked into power when Joe Biden abandoned Afghanistan². Talk about Trump Derangement Syndrome. Ruffalo is no longer the incredible hulk, he’s the incredible asshole. The Marvel Cinematic Universe guys must be cringing.

They know all about go woke go broke

There’s something very ugly about all this. Not just the jaw-dropping dishonesty from people like Jimmy Kimmel. Disney took him off air for trying to say Tyler Robinson was a MAGA extremist, because they now know all about go woke go broke. They now know that when you’re in the entertainment business, it’s not a good idea to let the LGBT groomers indoctrinate the children. They also now know that it really doesn’t pay to continually offend your audience to score cheap political points. And it really doesn’t pay to use your show as a propaganda platform. Or maybe they don’t, because I’ve just read that they’ve caved to “don’t bend the knee” protests and unsuspended him. Oh the irony. Bah, I’m all for free speech, but not for malicious deliberate lies. As for the first amendment, Kimmel is not in jail. He is free to repeat his claims. But, I suspect, not on the ABC payroll.

Sentenced to 31 months in prison for an anti-migrant tweet

Compare and contrast with Lucy Connolly, who was sentenced to 31 months in prison for an anti-migrant tweet after the Southport child murders. She previously lost a child to NHS incompetence, she was upset, and she deleted the tweet after three hours. It didn’t help. A word to the wise: if you’re accused of something similar, don’t plead guilty, demand a jury trial instead. That’s if you still can. Because our judges are now political activists³. They are not on our side. If you step out of line, you’re in trouble. Meanwhile the Pakistani grooming gangs get a free pass, the Burberry bandit is still walking the streets, and the armed robber gets a get-out-of-jail-free card.

I know a judge. He took the barrister route. When he was younger he was one of the good guys. He changed. He told me something one day. He said when he was defending somebody in court, he couldn’t keep himself awake at night worrying whether the guy was guilty or not. His job was to achieve a not-guilty verdict, and that was that. In the end he ended up not caring whether they were guilty or not. That’s when he lost his honour and his honesty. He lost his moral compass. A lot of judges are like that. Some even have a moral compass that points backwards, because they’ve served criminal clients for forty years.

By any means necessary

But I digress. What’s worse than Kemmel is all that by any means necessary stuff about Trump. They tried to assassinate him at least twice. The people who think like this, think of themselves as the liberal left, but all too often they aren’t liberal at all. Hence they refuse to debate the pros and cons of things like immigration, crime, and DEI. When challenged they throw out words like “Nazi”. They don’t see the irony of masking up in Antifa black⁴, and going out at night all tooled up to smash plate glass windows, torch vehicles, and burn down buildings.

These people know full well that the Nazis were the National Socialists, but still they throw out ad-hominems like fascist and racist, even when they’re the ones chanting globalize the intifada. They accuse Israel of genocide even though they know full well that the IDF is bending over backwards to minimize civilian casualties⁵. Even thought they know full well that Hamas are killing and starving their own people for the publicity value. Then they have the gall to call for another Holocaust. I’m with the AJC on this. I’m not Jewish. Nor am I particularly right wing. I’m just an ordinary bloke who’s all for democracy and free speech. I was raised on a council estate, and I now live in suburbia. On some issues, such as immigration, crime, and drug abuse, I’m right wing. On some issues, such as workers rights, UK industry, and public utilities, I’m left wing.

The world becomes a better place

I mean that. One of my favourite movies is The Postman. It’s set in post-apocalyptic America. Kevin Costner is the wandering grifter who finds a US Postal Service van down a ravine, complete with skeleton and mailbags. He reads a letter by candlelight and is touched. So he dons the uniform and approaches a stockaded town with a mailbag full of years-old letters. The people end up thinking he’s the real thing, and that the US Government is back in business. Before you know it, it is, and the world becomes a better place. Here in the UK they privatized our postal service, so The Postman couldn’t happen here. Talk about an abrogation of responsibility. Socialism is all about society. In Harold Wilson’s day the UK was a socialist country, and it worked. I was raised in a council house. I grew strong on school milk⁶, plus school dinners cooked from scratch from bulk ingredients by battle axe dinner ladies. Now illegal immigrants get all the social housing. Now school dinners are outsourced to the lowest bidder, and they are dire.

The UK Treasury peddles the myth that mass migration is good for the economy

Denmark is a socialist country like the UK of old. I have two different relatives who work in Denmark. I’ve been there. They stopped granting asylum because they saw the shit show next door called Sweden. They know that third world countries are what they are because they’re full of dog-eat-dog people who do not share our Judeo-Christian ethic. Instead they engage in crime, corruption and conflict. These people start a conflict, then they play the refugee card, then they come to first world countries where they engage in crime, corruption, and conflict. Hence the Somalis have brought a new level of violence to the streets of London. Hence Ilhan Omar is a cuckoo in the nest who deserves to be denaturalized and deported. My local estate agent tells me that 95% of the people on his list are white flight Londoners. They want out because they’re afraid their children are going to get stabbed. While all that’s going on, the UK Treasury peddles the myth that mass migration is good for the economy, when it’s been depressing our wages and increasing our prices. They also say it’s needed because we aren’t having enough children. Even though they know full well that mass migration is the cause, not the solution. Our young couples can’t afford a home in which to start a family because they’re competing against landlords. These landlords are housing immigrants courtesy of 5-year top-dollar Home Office contracts. In addition the young couples can’t get social housing like my parents did, because the migrants get them. Don’t believe what the fact checkers tell you. The migrants get priority because they have no home, whilst Jimmy and Susie are living with her mother. Sneaky.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and we’re on it

The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and we’re on it. It’s also paved with some not so good intentions, because there are EU presidents and globalist Davos men who seek to undermine the nation state. And International Socialists too. The same people who hate Jews. You know, the pro-migration rentamob with their professionally printed Refugees Welcome placards:

Image from The Guardian

Even though they aren’t refugees, and they aren’t welcome. Because they come from France. Because the EU is waging a hybrid war on the UK. Meanwhile socialist Denmark is for the Danes, but socialist Britain isn’t for the Brits. The UK Labour party is a socialist party, like the Danish SDP. The Labour party used to be a party for the workers. Now it’s the party for the shirkers. Just like the way the Democrats in the USA no longer roots for blue-collar workers, and instead dismisses them as rednecks. And like the Democrats in the USA, the UK Labour party has some strange ideas about immigration. They are ushering in people who are asocial, antisocial, and unsociable. The very opposite of socialists. It’s like the drones have taken over the hive and are ushering in varroa mites, ants, and hornets. Then when the workers complain, the drones scream in their face and call them far right fascists. They also tell them that Great Replacement is just a conspiracy theory, and all lives matter is racist. Doubtless they will soon be telling them that Jewish lives matter is racist too.

Women told me that they were afraid to challenge the DEI tyranny

People don’t like it. Especially in the Red Wall. They don’t like the woke propaganda that traduces the newspaper that used to be the Manchester Guardian. Nor do they like it when a comedian like Graham Linehan gets arrested at Heathrow airport. For a tweet. It’s like he was swatted. But that’s what trans activists are like. I had experience of that at work. There was an intranet article which referred to “people who menstruate”, I added a comment saying “don’t you mean women?”, and the next day I got a call from my boss. HR were saying certain members of staff found my comment offensive, hateful, and harmful. Apparently two blokes in frocks had lodged malicious complaints. I was summoned to a “meeting”. HR tried to get me to admit my hate crime and apologise, but I refused. I pushed back, saying “the word women is in no way offensive”, along with “what next, are you going to let them into the women’s toilets?” They couldn’t do anything, and they knew it. Apart from saying I had outdated “dinosaur” values. And apart from coercing my boss into downgrading my appraisal. Hence my bonus was reduced. What was striking was that a lot of women told me that they were afraid to challenge the DEI tyranny, and thanked me profusely for making a stand.

Cancelled image from The Morning Star, see workersliberty.org and PinkNews, and The Daily Mail

Too many trannies are misogynist bullies who like to wave their cocks around in the girls’ changing room. Or beat women in sports. Or just beat women. But again I digress. In similar vein to the above, people don’t like to see journalists like Allison Pearson getting harassed by the police for an online comment. People don’t like to see feminists like Kathleen Stock getting no-platformed because somebody can’t counter what she says in open debate. And they definitely don’t like it when it’s taken to extremis as per Charlie Kirk. That sort of cancel culture belongs in Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia, not Western democracies. Unfortunately in some Western democracies, democracy is nowadays dismissed as mere populism, and propaganda and censorship are becoming par for the course. Try asking Google AI if Palestinians danced in the streets to celebrate October 7th, and you will get an evasive answer. We all saw it, it was less than two years ago, but somebody is trying to bury it. It is insidious. It is Orwellian⁷.

A super injunction to make sure ethnic actors feature on every TV advert

All the more so because here in the UK our prime minister “two tier” Keir Starmer has encouraged the judiciary to come down hard on conservative free speech whilst giving free rein to Marxists, Muslims, and migrants. And criminals. Especially non-white “ethnic” criminals. It looks like there’s a super injunction to prevent the publication of ethnic mugshots, and ban the descriptions of crime suspects unless they’re white. It also looks like there’s a super injunction to make sure ethnic actors feature on every TV advert. Is there a super injunction that forces newspapers to call illegal immigrants “asylum seekers”? I don’t know. But I do know this: I’m starting to feel like a second class citizen in my own country. Starmer has also given away the Chagos Islands complete with 210,000 square miles of ocean. In addition it looks he’s done a deal exchanging UK fish for EU illegal immigrants, with a £500m sweetener to pay for the rubber boats. It also looks like he’s trying to undo Brexit, and he’s just recognized Palestine. Some of you guys might not like Donald Trump, but at least he’s not a traitor.

The Conservative party betrayed its voters

For the sake of balance, let me remind you that here in the UK the Conservative party betrayed its voters on antisemitism, Brexit, the BBC, benefit fraud, crime, care home fees, defence, DEI discrimination against white people, drugs, the ECHR, foreign aid, fishing, HS2 phase 2, inflation, immigration, income tax, indoctrination in schools, inheritance tax, internet censorship posing as child protection, knife crime, LTNs, Net Zero, Northern Ireland, the NHS, policing, prisons, superinjunctions, trans oppression of women, ULEZ, WASPI, and wokery. Their latest wheeze was to appoint Kemi Badenoch, a Nigerian citizen anchor baby, as party leader. A party member told me that none of the members he knows voted for her, and it looks like she was selected not elected. Especially since hers was a nothing-burger leadership campaign. She appears to be just another useless globalist diversity hire, taking the voters for fools and trying to sweep 14 years of betrayal under the carpet. She won’t do anything about the knife crime committed by migrants and their children. She won’t do anything about the mass migration that is turning our country into a dangerous place to live. It’s not far right to want to live in a country where a woman can walk home safely at night. I’m thinking of Amie Gray, who was stabbed to death on Bournemouth beach by an immigrant.

Amie Gray (right) with wife Sian, image from The Daily Mirror

She was my son’s friend’s cousin. Meanwhile the LibDems, who lead our local council, view junkies, travellers, and illegal immigrants as the most vulnerable in our society. Even though they’re the most parasitical upon our society. They turn a blind eye to the people in tents who deposit unpleasant things on our streets and parks and beaches. They are taking us the way of San Francisco. That’s why Bournemouth now has a vigilante group called the Safeguard Force. Because crime is rife, the streets aren’t safe, and the town centre is a no-go zone at night. We never voted for that. Or for the LibDem 20mph limits, or their deliberate congestion, or their cycle lanes. Just as we never voted for the mass migration that is making us poor. Or some of us. Where I live, a district called Upper Parkstone has gone badly downhill, whilst a district called Sandbanks has done the opposite. Now it’s full of £15m houses and £150k Range Rovers, all shiny and black with blacked out windows. They’re not poor. We are.

My gas and electric bill tripled in two years

My guess is that we’re going to get even poorer, because the government tells us inflation is 3.5%, even though for some things it’s ten times that. Eighteen months ago a packet of chocolate oaties in Lidl were 35p. Now they’re 109p. In January a 750g pack of mince was £4.99, now it’s £7.45. My water bill has just gone up by another 40%. My gas and electric bill tripled in two years. Industry is moving abroad because energy is too expensive. Our high streets are littered with empty shops because of shoplifters and high taxes:

Waterlooville shops image from The Daily Express

Homebase has gone. W H Smith is going. Even the charity shops are shutting down. Meanwhile Amazon don’t pay tax, because they book their profits in low-tax Luxembourg courtesy of a sweetheart deal laid on by Jean-Claude Juncker. In similar vein Starbucks buy their coffee from low-tax Starbucks Ireland at inflated prices. It’s similar for Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Thames Water, who amazingly, are allowed to offset their profits with purchase debt interest. It’s like deducting your mortgage payments off your pay packet. But as we know, some pigs are more equal than others.

Net Zero is a reverse-Robin racket that takes from the poor and gives to the rich

I have a garden. I am Green. So much so, that things like 296 million tons of jet exhaust per annum really bothers me. As does palm oil grown on 115,000 square miles of former jungle. As does population growth of circa one billion every 12 years. But I’m not so green that I think Net Zero is a good idea. I think it’s total greenwash. I think Net Zero is a reverse-Robin racket that takes from the poor and gives to the rich. There’s my left-wing credentials shining through again. And my green credentials, because I don’t like the wildfire arsonists who want to make sure the planet is burning.  I don’t like heat pumps either. Install a heat hump, and you won’t be able to afford the electricity to run it in winter. Just as you can’t afford a £100k Tesla. There’s no point anyway. Petrol cars have catalytic converters. Passenger jets don’t. Remember how clear the skies were during Covid? Remember that when you see five hundred private jets flying into COP30 in Brazil this November. That’s Belem in Brazil, where they put a new road through the jungle. Talk about hypocrisy.

Don’t rock the boat or you’ll never make full professor

Anyway, I’m one of the silent majority, and like a lot of people, I’ve had enough. Especially since I’m old enough to remember a time when in countries like ours, propaganda and censorship was only prevalent in science⁸. I remember John Williamson saying “don’t rock the boat or you’ll never make full professor”. He also said “challenge the mainstream and your papers will never see the light of day”. I’m also old enough to know that the propaganda and censorship that is now prevalent in politics and climate change has grown like topsy out of universities. When a guy like Woit rails against Aaronson, he censors the comments that support Aaronson. To him it’s a way of life. It’s par for the course in his dog-eat-dog world. So much so that when things don’t go his way, he howls. Like all the rest of them howl about the WSJ article by Dan Kagan-Kans called The rise of conspiracy physics. Like they howl when Sabine Hossenfelder says fundamental physics is full of bullshit. Because they are the self-appointed gatekeepers of science, whilst we’re just stupid sheep. They like to control the narrative. To them, knowledge is power. Information is supremacy. Or maybe that should be quantum information supremacy.

1 I may delete this post.

2 How the American left thought it was a good idea to let Biden stay in power absolutely beats me. They should have invoked the 25th and replaced him with somebody good. Not Kamala Harris.

3 Judicial activism is increasing. In the UK they are trying to usurp our parliament. In the USA they’re trying to rule by fiat, regardless of the executive and legislative branches. Hence judges like Boasberg face impeachment.

4 The blackshirts were Italian fascists. Hitler admired them, but since he didn’t want to be a copycat, he came up with the brownshirts instead.

5 The IDF are treating the Gaza civilians a whole let better than the Allies treated the French citizens in World War II. Not the German citizens. The French.

6 Margaret Thatcher stopped school milk. She also laid waste to British Industry in order to beat the unions. I never liked her. My father got me to come up to Teesside once to look at the computers at an engineering works called called Head Wrightson. A few years later, thanks to Thatcher it was gone. She caused far more harm than people realise.

7 Somebody should be facing jail time for this.

8 Come the Reformation, the long march through the institutions will be over. That’s if Reform UK get elected. In Canada the Liberal party were 20% behind in the polls, but somehow won the election after Trump made noises about making Canada the 51st state. Would you vote Labour if Trump made noises about making the UK the 51st state? No chance. Incumbents have similarly stayed in power in Spain, France, Germany, Turkey, and a lot of other places. That’s ominous.

Maybe not Steve. But I am still chuckling at Ruffalo is no longer the incredible hulk, he’s the incredible asshole.

Per a longstanding Gentleman’s agreement I won’t comment on all the Amerikan politics.
But damn John, if you didn’t answer a lot of pertinent questions concerning the nearby takeover of English Cities ! Along with confirming what a swivel-jawed, appeasing, weasle your PM is.
I actually stay on top of international/UK news feeds as much as possible.
Unfortunately, we too at home have become much more into long term Prepping. That’s why I still hang onto old family recipes like, 4 & 20 Blackbirds Baked into a Pie, amongst others.
Hang in there John; or at least learn up on how to make a Hillbilly Squirrel Pole; thusly hanging them protein laddened varmits instead.

    1. The Physics Detective

Thanks Greg. Maybe I shouldn’t have written this article, but there you go. I’ve said my piece. I have to admit in my own small way I’m a bit of a prepper myself these days. We have a lot of cans in the cupboard, along with other things tucked away like oats, rice, soap, salt, and so on. Since I’m in the UK the list does not include one or two other things that you would deem essential.

I’m serioysly considering in investing in a commercial pallet load size of Twinkies & new, low sodium Spam.
